Battles long won must be won again,
on angry streets, water cannon wet,
fear of all that is lost, to be built again.

A summer of love, so long ago,
vanquished hopes that love can solve all;
redemption comes as a wilting flower.

Gain the freedom of another day,
for dwellers of Zion and Jerusalem,
to live in as a free nation in its land.

Freedom gained with our ancestors' blood,
though weary, we nurture with our tears,
old battles recycled to another day.
